Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Geothermal Agent ("the Service"), operated by Geothermal Agent, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Geothermal Agent is a drilling advisory platform for hard rock geothermal wells. The Service reads the well records and brine chemistry you upload and assembles a corrosion basis of design in six cited sections, each recommendation carrying its sources and the checks it passed, with a policy gate that refuses what the record cannot support. During the pilot phase the Service is offered to operators under a pilot agreement.
3. Important Disclaimers
THE SERVICE PROVIDES AI GENERATED RESPONSES FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY.
- Responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or hallucinations, and citations may point to the wrong passage
- Always verify information against the original source document before acting on it
- The Service is decision support, not engineering advice, and is not a substitute for a qualified engineer's judgment
- Do not use it for any safety critical, structural integrity, regulatory, or life safety decision without independent professional review
- Nothing produced by the Service is certified, stamped, or warranted engineering work
- We are not responsible for any decision, cost, loss, or damage arising from AI generated content
- Availability, accuracy, and response times are not guaranteed; the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis
3a. Retrieval of Uploaded Documents
DOCUMENTS YOU UPLOAD ARE SEARCHED ONLY FOR YOUR ACCOUNT.
- Retrieval reads the public corpus and your own uploads: text from a document you upload is surfaced and cited only in answers given to your account
- Do not upload confidential, proprietary, personal, or export controlled material during the pilot phase
- Review of a document is restricted to the session or workspace that uploaded it
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you hold the rights to every document you upload, including licensed standards and conference papers (ASTM, ASME, API, NACE/AMPP and similar)
- Not uploading copyrighted, watermarked, single user licensed, or otherwise restricted material you do not have the right to redistribute
- Not uploading confidential, proprietary, personal, or export controlled information during the pilot phase (see section 3a)
- Verifying all AI generated responses against original sources before relying on them
- Obtaining independent professional review before acting on any output in a safety critical or regulatory context
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Complying with all applicable laws, export controls, and regulations
You are solely responsible for material you upload. We may remove any document from the index at any time, without notice, if we believe it is restricted, unlawful, or uploaded without the necessary rights.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to documents you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your documents to train AI models. Your documents are processed solely to provide the Service to you.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GEOTHERMAL AGENT AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Geothermal Agent from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
8. Data Security
We implement industry standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
9. Pilot Agreements
During the pilot phase, access to the Service is provided under a pilot agreement between Geothermal Agent and your organisation. The pilot is provided at no charge. The following applies:
- Scope: The wells, records, users and duration of a pilot are set in the pilot agreement
- Accounts: Each pilot engineer uses their own account, and access ends when the pilot agreement ends unless a further agreement is in place
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
